What FirstGrand is
FirstGrand is a guided journey for building a first business: research, a step-by-step plan, and money tracking. It is a set of tools and information, not legal, tax or financial advice.
No income promise. The first $1,000 is a goal and a finish line, not a guarantee. Results depend on the teen's work, their market and their customers. We promise the research, the plan and the tools; we do not promise earnings of any amount.
Accounts and roles
- For teens under 18, a parent or guardian creates and holds the account, signs the consents and approves the teen login. The teen uses the product under that account.
- 18 and 19 year olds may hold their own account.
- The business the family builds belongs to the family. Legal responsibilities around it (the ABN question, tax, insurance, product safety) sit with the account holder; the app provides checklists and plain-words explanations, not advice.
What you pay
- The plan is a one-off payment, taken by Stripe at checkout, at the price shown on the pricing page at the time you pay.
- Grow it is a monthly subscription that you can start only after the first sale, and cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future charges; what the family built stays readable.
- Scholarship places exist. Ask us.
House rules
- Unsafe business categories are blocked in code: weapons, violence, gambling, drugs, vaping and alcohol, adult content, hazardous materials, dangerous physical work, pyramid and speculative schemes, and anything requiring an adult licence.
- Repeatedly pushing at those blocks pauses the AI features until the guardian reviews and re-enables them.
- Fair use: each paid journey includes one research run plus one re-roll, and brainstorms carry generous message caps to keep the product affordable for everyone.
Liability
Draft placeholder: the liability wording is under legal review and will appear here before launch. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that Australian Consumer Law gives you.
Changes and governing law
If these terms change, account holders will be told by email before the change takes effect. Draft: these terms are intended to be governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
